As national reports tell us, there are too many health inequalities in our society and people with a learning disability are still dying earlier than they should do. These are some of the things we’re doing to help change this…

Easy Health was created in 2008 by a group of Generate staff who realised the people they support struggled to access quality healthcare, which had a strong impact on their ability to make decisions for themselves, affected their health, wellbeing and independence.
It has grown into a large online library of accessible health information.
With the EasyHealth website, you can find easy to understand health information all in one place.
Having access to an online bank of health information in an easy read or a video format means that people who struggle with standard written information can better understand health information and follow vital advice.
“The Easyhealth website has been widely promoted to all the GP practices in Wandsworth, where it is actively used by the doctors and health staff. GPs have found they can readily provide information to their patients during the consultation.”
– Tarlochan, Wandsworth CCG Health Facilitator
“Providing information in an accessible format is one of the easiest ‘reasonable adjustments’ a service can make. This can have the biggest impact on access to that service for people with a learning disability and their family carers. Just log on and download the relevant flyer – it’s that simple!”
– Stephan, Brusch Consulting Ltd
