On the 16th of September 2024 Generate Voices had another weekly forum this time starting the mental health campaign.
Everyone learned about the different ways you could campaign for mental health and other important topics.
In the first part of the campaign we discussed on how to run a campaign for mental health by looking at different types of campaigns ranging from fundraising, stopping a runway being built and healthy eating.
The forum members made suggestion about running a campaign for mental health a lot was said about many issues like post traumatic stress disorder or trying to stay healthy.
A poem was read out which can be found on the Generate Instagram page. It was made by Leon one of our members
It says Mental Health comes from the core danger and warning signs do not ignore.
Signs are there to warn ignoring them raises a storm. In a barbed wire wrapped an evil net has you trapped.
Mental health good or bad, either way you can be happy or sad. Seeking help there’s no shame mental health is not a game.
Bad mental health can lead to self-hate free yourself before it’s too late.
It can rip you apart but that’s nothing compared to what it’s doing to your heart. Leaving you in a black hole bad mental health burns your soul.
Good mental health is like a sunny day like the sun’s light giving way.
Good mental health is the sound of heaven’s voice when it talks, our souls rejoice.
Joy is spread good mental health equals a clear head.
Despite Leon not attending the forum he manage to give us something to work with.
