Wandsworth Change-Makers

Who we are

Wandsworth Change Makers is a is one-year social action project.

We are a group of Wandsworth residents aged 18+ with a learning disability and/ or neurodivergent.

We want to hear what members of our community think of services and offers in Wandsworth: what works and what can be improved.

Additionally we want to help local services and organisations to offer the best access they can to people with learning disabilities and to neurodivergent people.

What do we do?

Step 1 - Gathering people's opinions

We are interviewing 100 Wandsworth residents with learning disabilities and neurodivergent residents, and 30 professionals who work with Wandsworth residents who have a learning disability or are neurodivergent.

If you want to become a Wandsworth Change-Maker, or you are a professional who wants to join the project’s steering group (advise and monitor progress), you can use this form to let us know and share you contact details.

Step 2 - Brainstorming sessions with relevant services

Based on the survey results, the Wandsworth Change-Makers will start by selecting 2 of the most raised issues.

Then they will engage with professionals from the relevant local organisations to assess the extant of the problem and what the barriers are.

Step 3 - Coming up with solutions

In the final stage, the Change-Makers and the professionals they have worked with will come up with a list of solutions and a plan to make them happen in real life.
