Generate Voices Forum: Creative Poster-Making Workshop on November 7th
On November 7th, members of the Generate Voices Forum came together for an inspiring poster-making workshop, a key part of our ongoing mental health campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster open conversations about mental health. The poster-making event gave members a chance to express their thoughts on mental health, share their personal experiences, and use art to connect with others who may be going through similar challenges.
A Platform for Expression and Mental Health Advocacy.
The workshop was designed not only as a creative outlet but also as a way for members to support our mental health campaign. Members crafted posters that encouraged mental health awareness, shared their own experiences, and offered messages of hope to others. The session allowed everyone to reflect on the importance of mental well-being and to advocate for a future where mental health is prioritized and supported.
The Creative Process and Mental Health Messages.
We started the workshop by working in two teams to make individual posters with a title for example: Mental Health Campaign 2024/2025.
Two of the members Karen and Leon went to create the poster by hand with the title and a moving word that says “Be In The Know”
The other members used Canva to create a digital version of the Mental Health Campaign poster promoting our charity and the name of the project Generate Voices.
By the end of the session, the posters both hand-made and digitally-designed posters, each a personal reflection of the creator’s mental health journey and the hopes they hold for others. These posters will be displayed at our upcoming Generate Voices Speak Up Meet Up on November 21st, where members who made the posters will have the opportunity to present their work, sharing their stories, and continue to drive the message of the Mental Health Campaign.
Looking Forward.
The Generate Voices Forum is dedicated to amplifying voices, breaking down mental health stigma, and building a supportive community for our members. The poster-making workshop was just one step in our Mental Health Campaign. We’re excited to see how these creative expressions spark conversations and encourage more open dialogue about mental health in the days to come.
Thank you to everyone who participated. You’ve made this campaign stronger and more meaningful. We look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming Speak Up Meet Up on November 21st, where our voices will continue to be heard.
